Melanie Martin FCIPD
Melanie spent seven years building a credible consultancy business prior to establishing Watson Martin. Her earlier HR career included local government, the NHS and more than ten years with Singapore Airlines.
A consummate and driven entrepreneur who is able to work at both strategic and operational levels, Melanie is a specialist in: remuneration and benefits; performance management; building networks and partnerships; commercial awareness and customer service.
Melanie has led several major consultancy projects for WM, including global remuneration and benefits benchmarking for aviation engineers, job evaluation and rewards strategy for France Telecom Orange and new pay strategies for 15,000 Whitbread brand aligned employees.
As a Chartered Fellow, Melanie has demonstrated a strong commitment to the CIPD for 20 years, contributing to the development of the CIPD Professional Standards, membership structure, qualifications strategy and the HR Profession Map and as a Membership & Education Committee member. She has instigated a number of innovations including the introduction of the work-based MRR/IBI.
