This unit can be delivered as a standalone award or as part of the Level 5 Intermediate Qualification in HR. This unit will provide the learner with an understanding of how organisations can create a high performing work organisation, involving line managers in the performance management process. Conceptual frameworks of high performance working (HPW) will be examined and how these might impact on performance, competitive advantage and employee engagement. It provides the learner with the business case for, and the barriers to, HPW as well as the contribution of performance management, inclusive collaborative working and the commitment of line managers can support a high performing culture.
