This unit can be delivered as a standalone award or as part of the Level 5 Intermediate Qualification in HR. The aim of this core unit is to enable learners to identify and review the business and external factors which affect the organisation and to assess HR’s role in strategy formulation and implementation to identify solutions in a changing environment.

This course is for anyone who wants to identify or refresh their understanding of the skills and behaviours essential for an HR professional. It is essential for individuals who are interested in meeting the requirements for a CIPD certificate or diploma and professional membership. It is suitable for those who:

- have responsibility for implementing HR policies and strategies
