You can either opt to take the workshop alone or submit an assessment for the module to convert to an Advanced Award. One Award could be the start of a larger qualification.

You only need four Awards to gain an Advanced Certificate and eight to gain an Advanced Diploma. Taken alone the workshops are ideal for non-HR line managers looking for guidance around particular topics like Performance Management, Employment Law, or Developing Skills for Business Leadership. Any of the workshops can be delivered in-company as part of a wider qualification programme. Please contact us on 02079322760 for more details.

The CIPD Advanced Diploma gives you a professionally recognised qualification and the knowledge towards CIPD Chartered Membership (Chartered MCIPD).

WHAT ACADEMIC LEVEL IS AN ADVANCED QUALIFICATION?

The Advanced level Certificates and Diplomas are at a master’s level 7.

I WANT TO BE ‘FULLY CIPD QUALIFIED’ -WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? WILL I BE FULLY QUALIFIED BY COMPLETING THIS PROGRAMME?

The Advanced Diploma is the highest level of CIPD Qualification available. Upon completion of the Certificate or Diploma candidates automatically receive Associate Level Membership (Assoc. CIPD). When employers refer to a requirement of being “fully CIPD qualified” they are usually referring to holding full Chartered Membership (Chartered MCIPD). The Advanced Diploma is one of the main prerequisites for gaining this level of membership, thus by completing the Diploma and undertaking a subsequent upgrade assessment with the CIPD, candidates can become ‘fully CIPD qualified”.

HOW LONG WILL THE QUALIFICATION TAKE?

Timescales are dependant on a combination of your pre existing knowledge, experience and current professional role, and how much time you can commit to your study.  As a general guide, a Certificate takes around 12 months and a Diploma takes around 18 months.  For full, competence based Diploma candidates, we offer a 12 month programme suitable for established HR practitioners with access to good quality evidence across a range of Modules.

Watson Martin Partnership offers candidates a free, no obligation consultation to determine the most suitable programme and delivery method before a final fee is quoted.

    ARE THERE ANY EXAMS?

To achieve a CIPD Advanced Diploma, the following two core modules are assessed by 3 hour mandatory examinations comprising questions exploring issues arising from a pre-seen case study and five other questions:

    • Human Resources Management in Context
    • Leading Managing and Developing People

We offer four specially designed workshops to help you to pass the exams, covering introduction to the module content and exam preparation.

Click here to see how our pass rates compare to the National Average.

HOW MUCH DOES THE PROGRAMME COST AND WHAT ARE THE PAYMENT OPTIONS?

The programme fees are dependant upon which size of qualification you undertake (Award, Certificate or Diploma) and which delivery method you choose.

Watson Martin Partnership offers candidates a free, no obligation consultation to determine the most suitable programme and delivery method before a final fee is quoted.

WHAT SORT OF WORKPLACE EVIDENCE DO I NEED TO PROVIDE?

Workplace evidence has to be current, so from work undertaken in the past 2-3 years. The evidence itself will vary depending on the individual and could include strategy and change recommendations to the senior management team, and therefore could be in the form of a business case, policies, statistics, presentations, letters, emails and other documents to clearly demonstrate to the assessor what you do within your role which can be measured against the CIPD Learning Outcomes of the programme.

I HAVE A DEGREE OR MASTERS QUALIFICATION IN HR – WILL I GAIN EXEMPTION FROM ANY OF THE ADVANCED QUALIFICATION?

The Advanced level qualifications are a post graduate level qualification and therefore an undergraduate degree does not automatically map across. However for those who have completed a Masters in HR, the CIPD offer an exemption application service for candidates who feel elements of previous study may render them exempt from areas of the qualification.
