Message from Melanie Martin, Director at Watson Martin
Welcome back to Watson Martin HR Learning Bites. We all know the devastating impact the pandemic is having on many sectors of the UK economy. Business leaders are faced with the difficult decision to make structural changes and cut their workforce just to survive.
In our latest HR Learning Bites webinar we discuss how to manage organisational change and restructuring in an ethical way. Delivering news about redundancies is one of the most difficult jobs we face as people professionals. But how the process is managed can have a long-lasting impact on individuals and the organisation. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear from our experts, Zita Lourdes and Joseph Grech, on how to support your organisation through change and redundancy in the right way.
About the Webinar
Delivering news about organisational change and redundancy is stressful. Unfortunately, high-stakes situations can lead to unethical behaviour. Under pressure, organisations put their project plans first and fail to engage with their workers who are most impacted.
This in turn can have a severe detrimental effect on those left behind – the redundancy survivors – and ultimately lead to a drop in productivity across the whole business.
Employers and people professionals play a crucial role to ensure the way we manage organisational change and restructuring is done with and not to our workforce.
Join our experts Zita Lourdes and Joseph Grech for the latest advice on how your organisation can manage change and restructure effectively and ethically.
Topics under discussion in this free 30-minute webinar include:
- The challenging environmental context
- Why change and restructuring can be necessary
- What does managing change and restructuring ethically actually mean?
- Why is it imperative to prioritise ethical and conscious leadership?
- How can leaders and people professionals manage change and transformation successfully and in collaboration with their workforce?
