CIPD Human Resources and Learning and Development Qualifications
Watson Martin offers CIPD qualifications at Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced level delivered through a work based competency methodology to working HR professionals. We also work with corporate clients to deliver qualifications to cohorts of employees in line with clients’ in-company talent academies and learning and development programmes.
Watson Martin has developed a number of workshops that can be taken by themselves or as part of mixed mode programmes leading to qualifications. The workshops run at Reed Learning’s training centre in Holborn or can be delivered in house. The workshops are not designed to cover all the learning outcomes required by the CIPD but rather to direct individual study and research in to particular topics and facilitate discussion.
Watson Martin qualified advisors work closely with candidates through a series of one-to-one meetings, telephone and email, identifying strengths and areas for development and setting tailored developmental exercises. Most candidates form an excellent working relationship with their advisor and use them as a sounding board and coach for the duration of their qualification.
City HR Academy
This academy was established in 2009 by the City HR Association to give HR professionals working in the City and Canary Wharf areas of London flexible local access to professional education. Watson Martin was selected by the academy to be the delivery partner tailoring their existing qualifications to the needs of HR professionals in the banking, finance and legal sector.
Overseas students are welcome and follow the same qualifications but have their one-to-one support via Skype or local advisors. Currently our workshops and examinations are only scheduled in London or in-company.
Watson Martin specialises in devising reward schemes and helping organisations with pay strategy, job evaluation and pay benchmarking. They also advise on grievance and disciplinary issues, performance management and recruitment.
Developing Corporate HR Talent
Watson Martin works with a number of corporate clients to deliver CIPD qualifications to cohorts of students in-company. The methodology is the same but the cohort gets more opportunity for action learning sets, peer mentoring and programmes tailored to fit with the organisation’s existing learning and development strategy.
