HR Apprenticeship Tutor/Assessor


We have a vacancy for an employed HR tutor/consultant (full time or part-time) to support our HR apprentices and deliver Level 3, 5 and 7 CIPD qualifications.

This would suit an experienced CIPD tutor or someone who has been in a senior HR or L&D position who is looking to move away from the demands of corporate life into a more flexible and rewarding role.

Watson Martin is a market leading centre for all levels of CIPD professional qualifications and in-company soft skills training.  We have accomplished this by offering the highest level of customer service and achieving outstanding success rates. Due to continued growth and the launch of our HR apprenticeships we are looking for an exceptional individual to join our team. We are delivering apprenticeships through a number of arrangements: as an approved RoATP provider for in-company cohorts and public courses and in partnership with a RoATP provider delivering the CIPD content via public courses.  Furthermore we are optimising our blended learning methods to develop more tailored practices whilst ensuring we meet the ESFA audit requirements.

We are looking for individuals to be mainly based at our Raynes Park head office with training delivery in central London locations.  You will work alongside some talented HR and L&D professionals who all have real practical experience and a genuine interest in the development of others.

We offer:

  • Salary £40k-£45k per annum
  • High levels of job satisfaction through helping individuals achieve their goals
  • A high degree of flexibility, self-management and discretion with the opportunity to work from home for one day per week (once up to speed with the job)

We require:

  • MCIPD and a genuine interest in developing others
  • Previous experience of working under Ofsted requirements
  • Experience of and/or an interest in delivering apprenticeships
  • Proven track record of workshop design and delivery
  • Interest in providing individual support to students and ability to provide high quality constructive feedback
  • Proficiency in using virtual learning environments (ideally Moodle but not essential)
  • Experience of designing or using blended learning materials and delivering webinars and/or live classes/training
  • Experience at a management level as an HR/L&D generalist
  • Working towards TAQA or an equivalent work-based learning qualification would be advantageous

Programme Administrator

We are also an Apprenticeship provider (RoATP).  We have accomplished this by offering the highest level of customer service and achieving outstanding success rates.  We differ from other providers through our unique blend of learning methods combining competency assessment, development activities, workshops and online delivery to create programmes tailored to individual needs.

Due to our continued growth we are looking for an exceptional individual to join our lovely team to help ensure the courses and qualification programmes we offer run smoothly and efficiently.

We offer:

  • Salary £21-23k per annum (depending on experience)
  • 25 days annual leave plus statutory day

We require:

  • A high degree of accuracy and excellent attention to detail
  • High level written skills
  • Good IT and systems skills, including MS Word and Excel

  • Confident and competent telephone skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the candidate start-up process and workshop joining instructions/materials as needed
  • Arrange resources (materials, trainers etc.) and equipment required for course delivery and support delegates, clients and associates with information required to ensure smooth facilitation
  • Respond to CIPD candidate enquiries
  • Prepare course completion forms ready for submission to the awarding organisations
  • Assist with the External Quality Assurance visits preparation
  • Exams administration
  • Provide general administrative support

Programme Adviser

Watson Martin is a market leading centre for all levels of CIPD professional qualifications tailored to individual/group requirements, CMI and in-company soft skills training and a recently approved Apprenticeship provider (RoATP).  We have accomplished this by offering the highest level of customer service and achieving outstanding success rates.
Reporting into the Senior Programme Adviser, in this role you will be hands on, supporting the sales and marketing function, but also provide quality administration service to candidates and tutors.

We offer:

Key Responsibilities:

•        Working closely with the Sales Executive to manage daily enquiries via phone, email or online demonstrating an ability to see through an enquiry from initial contact to sale conversion

•        Conduct diagnostic consultations in order to establish the candidate’s learning needs and promote relevant courses and services

•        Understand WM portfolio of courses to enable appropriate advice to be provided to candidates and clients

•        Maximise candidate enrolments by actively following up sales opportunities

•        Maintain and nurture positive relationships with corporate clients interested in In-company training, apprenticeships or professional qualifications

•        Working with the Marketing Consultant to contribute effectively to marketing campaigns

•        Ensure all enquiries are responded and recorded accurately and timely

•        Develop and maintain an awareness of key competitors, their offerings and the market in which the company operates

•        Manage the in-house bookings and ensure smooth course delivery, including resourcing trainers and order materials

•        Ensure all training materials are up-to-date

•        Actively contribute to improving and  streamlining the in-house processes

•        Collect and respond to course feedback

•        Support the CIPD candidate and apprenticeships start-up process and prepare workshop materials as needed

•        Support the wider team during busy periods with general admin support.
