Watson Martin was established in 2004 when two senior HR practitioners, Heather Watson and Melanie Martin, saw there was a need for CIPD programmes to be flexibly delivered.  Both specialists in their field, they believed that more successful results could be achieved if learning methods were personalised and tailored to the individual.  Their idea led to the formation of Watson Martin and a long-term partnership with the UK recruitment company, REED.

Today, our business has grown to offer the full range of HR and L&D CIPD qualifications at Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced levels along with the widest selection of units and modules offered by any CIPD centre.  We continually achieve higher than the national average exam results and are proud of our outstanding CIPD quality assurance rating.

We offer a unique blend of delivery methods that combine academic learning with practical experiences in the workplace as part of the assessment process. In January 2018, Watson Martin was approved to deliver apprenticeships (RoATP*) and we now work with levy paying organisations, individuals and in collaboration with other training providers to deliver HR and L&D Levels 3 and 5 apprenticeship programmes. Our innovative blended learning approach ensures the apprenticeship meets the 20 percent off-the-job requirement in the most effective way for the apprentice and the organisation.

Watson Martin also offers management and soft-skills courses, specialist consultancy services and CIPD graduate training on an in-company basis. We have successfully delivered programmes to organisations including Royal Bank of Scotland, Centrica, Thames Water, ASDA, American Express and many more.
