Watson Martin launches new awards scheme to celebrate National Apprenticeship Week
Leading HR training and qualification specialists, Watson Martin, today officially launched the company’s first Apprenticeship Awards to celebrate the individual success of HR and L&D apprentices around the country.
The annual awards, which are free to enter, were unveiled as part of a programme of events organised by Watson Martin to mark National Apprenticeship Week from 7th to 13th February.
HR and L&D apprentices from all levels who are supported by Watson Martin will be invited to enter the awards to celebrate their achievements in their CIPD qualification and throughout the apprenticeship programme itself. A second category for apprenticeship employers will recognise the support and guidance provided by businesses to their apprentices. The winner of each category will be announced as Watson Martin Best Apprentice of the Year and Watson Martin Best Employer of the Year.
“Apprenticeships in HR or L&D provide a great way to develop your people professionals and bring new skills to your organisation so are good for both the business and the individual,” explained Emma Taylor, Watson Martin’s Apprenticeship Manager. “Having been an apprenticeship provider since 2018, working with a wide range of apprentices and companies in different sectors and regions, we felt the time was right to launch a national awards scheme. Our Apprenticeship Awards are designed to shine the spotlight on the individual success stories of HR and L&D apprentices and will recognise the commitment of employers to improving their skills and professional development. They will demonstrate how apprenticeships can boost business success and lead to dream careers, she added.”
Entries can be submitted from 1st March and judging for the awards will take place from June with winners being announced in September 2022.
