Our advisers are very special individuals with an abundance of industry experience and a genuine interest in the development of others. Each one of them works hard to support their CIPD candidates throughout every step of their qualification and the feedback we receive on Coursecheck is testament to the superb advice they provide. Our advisers really do ensure our business retains that personal touch, something we know candidates greatly value. This regular feature publicly recognises their contribution to your CIPD success!

We have asked Leanne Till, our consultant based in the South East, for her advice to help you gain that all important CIPD qualification along with what she loves most about her job.

Leanne’s top tips for CIPD success…

Take your unit step by step, break it down to each learning outcome when starting your research and you will quickly see results. Completing one unit before you start looking at the next means you will not be put off or become distracted by what is still to do.

Use your adviser for support, that’s what we are here for and let us know if there is something, we should be aware of that might delay your progress. Communication is key and we have lots of strategies to help with your studies and ideas if you need inspiration!

Take advantage of the support materials all in one place on the VLE to make it easy for you to access and study at a time to suit you. We know our candidates have busy lives and being able to watch the pre-recorded webinars to introduce the content and use the workbooks will help you immensely. If you have the desire to succeed, everything is there to help you complete your programme.

Here’s what our candidates say about Leanne:

I found Leanne Till extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

Karen Warner, Foundation candidate

Leanne was very helpful and went through each topic slowly and gave us the opportunities to ask any questions as we went along.

Olivia Huntrods, Intermediate candidate

Really good day of training. Leanne was excellent and very informative and helpful. I feel much more confident with DVP and UIN now.

Rebecca Grubb, Intermediate candidate

The knowledge of the trainer Leanne was exceptional – didn’t read the slide content as she spoke about each area in details. You could tell she was passionate about the subject.

Cathy Parker-Sauer, Intermediate candidate

Leanne was amazing, very detailed and thorough in her delivery. She used simple ways to explain what was required and was happy to explain anything we didn’t understand.

Marie Devitt, Intermediate candidate

About Leanne

There’s certainly nothing Leanne doesn’t know about Reed Learning. Having joined as Centre Manager 17 years ago, she has seen the company grow from small beginnings into the successful business it is today.

As a ‘homegrown’ consultant with bags of HR experience, Leanne understands all aspects of CIPD qualifications. She also knows what it is like to juggle studying for a professional qualification with a busy job and family life so is adept at giving our candidates lots of advice on how to achieve success in their qualification.

Leanne’s HR career began with the global outsourcing company Williams Lea where she gained all round HR experience in their Head Office and also in roles on their client sites, including PwC. Her knowledge and skills developed when she moved to Reed Learning and took over the management of the office while completing her Level 7 CIPD qualification.

As the company increased in size, so did Leanne’s responsibilities and she took on a more strategic role overseeing the smooth running of the business, managing a rapidly growing team and ensuring financial targets were met.

After taking a spell of maternity leave and desiring a more flexible work life balance, Leanne became a regional consultant, an ideal position as it combined her excellent communication and presentation skills with her HR background. And judging by the glowing feedback she receives from her candidates on Coursecheck, it was certainly the right decision!

Having supported candidates and apprentices at Levels 3 and 5 as well as delivering workshops and webinars on specific CIPD units, Leanne is now using her experience with candidates overseeing the sales team. As a people person, she loves the 1:1 interaction with potential candidates, explaining how the team can help them through their qualification.
