Watson Martin celebrates National Apprenticeship Week

It’s National Apprenticeship Week and to celebrate we have been looking back at some of the great feedback we have received from our HR and L&D apprentices since we launched our apprenticeship programmes three years ago.

We are so pleased with how well our apprentices are doing and it is wonderful that they make such great progress with the help of their adviser.  Here’s just a few of their comments to give you a flavour of the professional training and support we provide!  All our apprentices receive 1:1 support from an expert adviser throughout their programme as well as attending interactive webinars and accessing quality online resources on the VLE. If you would like to know more about our HR and L&D apprenticeships including our next start dates and our new Level 7 programme launching in June, please call one of our specialist apprenticeship advisers today on: 020 7932 2760.

“Watson Martin were always on hand to support and ensured they were available throughout the programme. All the facilitators and advisers were so helpful and always made time to talk to me one on one when I needed to. Their knowledge and experience has been so valuable to me and got me over the finishing line. The apprenticeship has helped me to understand areas of HR that I’m really interested in and to set goals for what I want to achieve in the future.”

Hannah Curry, Level 3 HR apprentice, John Lewis Partnership (JLP)

“Tracey is my adviser and she is fabulous. She is so supportive and provides very constructive feedback in a direct way which I like. Joseph Grech who runs the webinars is absolutely brilliant. They have both been significant to my WM apprenticeship journey.”

Artheka Sivaharan, Level 5 L&D apprentice, Metro Bank

“The apprenticeship has certainly giving me more confidence in my own abilities. Tracey is my adviser and she is fantastic. Her knowledge and professionalism shine through in everything she does. The VLE is great, it has everything you need to start your learning journey on each unit. The videos that Joseph made are interesting and the webinars are fantastic. As an online learning journey it is all really effective.”

Alec Greave, Level 3 L&D apprentice, Domestic & General

“My adviser Elaine was great and really held me to account which is what I needed to make sure I handed my assignments in on time. It was reassuring to have her support and feedback on my work. I really enjoyed the workshops with Watson Martin. I was in a cohort with a mix of candidates and it was good to talk to people outside of education to learn about both.”

Steph Dunne, Level 5 HR apprentice, City of Norwich School

“My adviser, Leanne, was always available for me to email to ask any questions or arrange a call if I wanted to talk through my queries in more detail. As I was approaching the end of my apprenticeship, Leanne gave me all the necessary support so I felt prepared for the EPA. The apprenticeship has encouraged me to learn and expand my knowledge which has in turn supported me in my role.”

Veronica Kenny, Level 3 HR apprentice, John Lewis Partnership (JLP)
