Achieve qualification success with our new online study skills resources.
Online learning has never been more important and more widely used than today. With the COVID-19 pandemic putting a temporary halt to face-to-face workshop programmes, Watson Martin has introduced a package of online support measures to assist candidates throughout their CIPD qualifications.
All students enrolled with us now have access to a wide range of study skills resources and regular one-hour discussion forums at each CIPD level to help them achieve qualification success. Developed specifically to provide candidates with greater flexibility to learn at a time they choose, the additional resources are all linked to the CIPD new Profession Map and are designed to stand the test of time.
Along with their planned 1:1 sessions with an expert adviser, candidates can ‘drop-in’ to an online forum and ask any questions about their qualification, including aspects of the unit they are currently working on, as well as share ideas with others. Led by our specialist adviser of the day, learners are invited to post their question online before or during the forum when it will be answered. Students can also visit the forum at any time after the event to view past discussions.
Study resources to help candidates develop key skills to achieve their qualification are also now available on our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). The online materials include recorded webinars on different topics presented by our HR and L&D experts along with videos, podcasts and links to further information. Designed to help our candidates enhance existing skills and discover new ones, they are available 24/7 so can be watched at any time on any device.
Topics developed for each CIPD level include:
Also available on the VLE is further in-depth advice for Advanced candidates to help them achieve top grades in their qualification including:
To further develop understanding and to help build a professional network, candidates are encouraged to set up groups on online platforms such as WhatsApp to chat through topics with their peers.
